March 12, 2024 – Golden Apple Annual Meet & Greet Placement Event Series
The Golden Apple Annual Meet & Greet Placement Event featured 28 Apple Scholars from approximately 20 partner school districts/schools all eager to find the "best-fit" placements to launch their teaching careers. The event began with an Introduction of the Partner Panel, setting the stage for a series of engaging interactions. Each district participated in three virtual breakout sessions, where they addressed the following key questions:

  • What makes your district / school unique?
  • How does your district support new teachers?
  • How does your district demonstrate a commitment to equity and cultural competence?

Joining Ms. Triche as presenters at this event were distinguished leaders from our school district:

  • Monee Elementary School was represented by Principal, Dr. Kiwana Sanders.
  • Crete-Monee High School was represented by Division Leader, Michelle Cresto, who also shared insights.
  • Crete Monee Middle School was represented by Division Leader, Sandra Brookins who contributed to the discussions.

April 4, 2024 – Golden Apple Foundation Spring Interviews
At the Golden Apple Foundation Spring Interviews, each partner district provided a presentation to all scholars in the southland region. With the use of our digital presentation, CM 201-U provided a unique and memorable experience for attendees.

We continued to engage with Apple Scholars through email, phone calls, and newsletters after the event ensuring they remained well-informed about upcoming opportunities and ongoing developments in our district. This multifaceted approach not only enhanced our recruitment efforts, but also ensured we stay connected with potential candidates long after the event concluded.

Thanks to our amazing recruiting team, we are making strides at obtaining top talented professionals to join us at CM 201-U.
