CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT
It was always rewarding to visit Ms. Casellio's Science class. No matter the season or day, her use of high-impact teaching strategies as structured lessons that leverage student learning is always present. She is explicit when explaining the steps in the lesson, always discussing the intentions and new knowledge. Students gain an understanding of their success criteria and can articulate it to me when I speak with them.

My colleagues would be surprised to know that I have been professed as a Secular Franciscan since July 18, 2020. I plan to do hospice work after retiring from education.

A “good day” at school is when I learn something new from my students and colleagues, making me a better teacher and person.
IN WHICH TEACHER’S CLASS WOULD YOU LIKE TO SPEND THE DAY?
I would love to be a student in Jennifer Orr's 6th grade class. Ms. Orr is the type of teacher who loves and lives science in such a way that is contagious to her students. Ms. Orr demonstrates the importance of being a lifelong learner by taking the opportunity to further educate herself with the most current information regarding IB Science Curriculum.
Ms. Orr conducts a lab experiment or learning activity daily that nourishes her students' curiosities. In addition to the above attributes, Ms. Orr has high expectations for her students, but maintains a fun and exciting Science classroom. Ms. Orr is one of the many teachers at CMMS that inspires me to be a better person and teacher on a daily basis."
