New Student Registration

Welcome to the District 201-U family! New families to the district must register their child by completing a new student online application. Once the application has been submitted, you will be instructed to select an appointment date to submit, in person, required documentation. To expedite the process, please have the required documentation on hand and printed prior to your scheduled appointment.

How to Submit a New Student Online Application and Schedule an Appointment

Appointments will be held at the District Administration Center (1500 Sangamon Street, Crete, IL 60417) It will take approximately 30 minutes to complete registration. Do not delay in scheduling your appointment as time slots may fill up quickly.

School Fee Waivers

If you believe you qualify for a school fee waiver and you did not receive a Direct Certification letter from the district, you are required to complete a Fee Waiver/Fee Reduction application and provide supporting documentation of family size and income. Applications will be reviewed by District Administration and a response will be sent within (30) days of receipt of the completed application.

Form 4506-T must be filled out and submitted to the IRS and attached to your Fee Waiver Form. You may also access the form via the IRS website at: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf. Completed applications should be sent to the District 201-U Administration Center or deposited in the convenient drop box outside of the Administration Office located at 1500 Sangamon, Crete, IL 60417.

National School Lunch Program

If you believe your child qualifies for free or reduced priced meals, you may complete a School Meal Application. Applications will be available beginning July 20 at Crete-Monee High School. Completing a Meal Application is separate from the registration process. If your registration appointment is prior to July 20, it will be necessary to return to complete a Meal Application. New Student Testing

If you are new to the district with students entering Grade 6 through Grade 11, and the students were not enrolled in one of our schools for the 2018-2019 school year, they will be required to take a placement test. Tests will be administered Monday through Thursday at the district office, 1500 S Sangamon St. by appointment only.
