5Essentials Survey 2019

This year Crete-Monee School District 201U schools will participate in the annual Illinois 5Essentials Survey. The survey is designed to collect important information on school climate and learning conditions. This survey, developed by the University of Chicago Consortium on Chicago School Research, assesses performance on five indicators or “Essentials” for school improvement.

Effective Leaders  •  Collaborative Teachers  •  Involved Families  •  Supportive Environment  •  Ambitious Instruction

The survey results are reported on the school report cards that are available to parents at the end of October each year. The results from this year’s survey will be included on our school report cards that will be released in October 2020.

The parent survey is available to take through February 14th. All district parents are encouraged to take the survey. The survey will be administered online and will take less than 20 minutes to complete. Please note that all survey information is confidential.

Each school in the district must have 20% of eligible parents participate for a parent report to be generated. For more information about the survey, please visit
