Free/Reduced Lunch Application

Free and Reduced Priced Meals and School Fees
The National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program make it possible for all school children in the United States to receive a nutritious lunch and breakfast each and every day.

There are two (2) ways to qualify for free or reduced priced meals:

  1. Direct Certification/Categorical Eligibility If a household currently receives Food Stamps, or TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), the children in the household are eligible for free school meals. This is called categorical eligibility. Homeless, runaway and migrant children, once determined by the School District Homeless Liaison, are also eligible for free school meals.
  2. Income-based Eligibility If a household’s total income is below a certain amount, the children in that household can eat free or at a very reduced price. Income eligibility guidelines will be available after July 1st yearly.

Household Eligibility Applications
If you believe your child qualifies for free or reduced priced meals, you may complete a Household Eligibility Application. Applications can be completed beginning August 1. If you would like to complete a meal application:

Print the Free/Reduced Meal Application, fill it out, and return it to your child's school.
