UNITY STARTS WITH ‘U’:
Balmoral Elementary wins the Name Our New District Motto contest at this year’s Night of Leadership event hosted by the CM 201-U Board of Education
Student council members from Balmoral Elementary were all smiles as they held signs at this year’s Night of Leadership event hosted by the Crete-Monee Board of Education on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. The school’s entry, “Unity Starts with ‘U’!” was the winner of the Name our New District Motto contest which invited parents and community members to vote in an online poll. Student government groups from every school submitted a motto for consideration. The party convention-styled event was also supported by local elected officials who encouraged students to continue to engage in the democratic process.
