The Warrior Booster Club would like to thank all the Coaches and Athletes who helped out at the Craft Show this past weekend. It was a great success and it couldn't have happened without all of you giving us your time. Remember we are here for you.
GUIDANCE/SIGN UP/REGISTER/TRY OUT:
Calling all Transfer students!!! Are you interested in joining a group that specifically caters to you, as a new student? Look no further. Who’s New is the group for you! If you want to become a part of the group to help make your transition in a new place a little easier, please sign up in the Guidance office.
Applications for the Kankakee Area Career Center for the 2018-2019 school year are now available in Guidance! Applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants must have good attendance, good behavior, and be on track to graduate.
Eastern Illinois University will be at the high school on Thursday, November 16, starting at 9:00 a.m. They will be doing on site admission. Please sign up in the Guidance Office as soon as possible. You must have a transcript and GPA qualifications will be listed on the sign in sheet.
Juniors and Seniors can sign up for the following college visits in the Guidance office. Juniors are allowed 4 per semester and Seniors are allowed 2. You must write your 1st hour room number in order to receive a pass. Nov. 15th, Northern Illinois University at 7:30 a.m.; Millikin University at 8:30 a.m.
The E-Journalism Club will be meeting after school in B111 from 2:50-3:45 this Thursday. We will be learning how to put together a Web site, so all those interested are encouraged to attend.
Just a reminder that there will be PBIS Redemption Day this Friday, November 17th, during all lunch modes. Redeem your Warrior Gold for snacks and prizes.
Snowball Club is hosting a food drive through November 21. Please bring canned goods and non-perishable items to the Guidance office for drop off. Any size donation is appreciated!
As part of the Buddy's Helpers Challenge, the Girls' Soccer team, led by junior Grace Miller, will be collecting unwrapped new toys and motivational cards until Wednesday, Dec. 6. Toys should be for children ages 5-10 and be between $5 and $15. Please bring any toys and cards to the Guidance Office or see Ms. Ruklic with questions. If Grace meets her challenge goal of collecting 500 new toys, 500 cards and $500, she will be a part of a special PepsiCo Showdown celebration to meet a well-known celebrity. Good luck, Grace!
The next Breakfast with Books is coming up! Join us before school in the Media Center on Thursday, November 16th. Enjoy some breakfast noshing with a novel for any interested participants. Bring your own book, or pick one out in the Media Center. See you there!
The CMHS Dance Squad needs your help! Support the Dance Team by purchasing tickets for the Chicago Bulls vs. Cleveland Cavaliers on December 4. This is a once in a lifetime chance to see LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Derrick Rose all in the same night for a discounted price of $50 per ticket. For an added benefit, the Dance Squad will also be performing. Anyone who is interested, please see Ms. Brown in Room C206 or any dance member.
Picture retakes will take place on Wednesday, November 15. Any student that did not take a picture on the original picture day or would like to take a retake should report to the upper gym balcony on this day during their PE Class. In addition, any senior students that did not take a picture over the summer with Burns Photography should also go have their picture taken.
Seniors: It is time to submit your baby picture to be included in the yearbook! Pictures should be dropped off in the main office with Mrs. Rodriguez. Make sure your first and last names are CLEARLY written on the back of the photo. The deadline to submit your photo is Thursday, November 30th.
