Math Expert Bill Hanlon Uses Website to Help CM201-U Students Struggling in Math

Crete-Monee School District 201-U math consultant, Bill Hanlon, will be presenting to parents at evening events at all district schools this year. The focus of his presentations will be the 6+1 Strategies for Success in Math and how parents can support student learning at home. Registration Information
Registration Dates for the 2014-15 School Year

Returning registration is closed August 4 - 9, 2014.

Late registration will be held at your student's respective school beginning August 11, 2014. Please contact your respective building for times. Returning families with multiple children in multiple buildings can register all students at one building.

New family registration is currently available by appointment only. Please call the registration hotline at (708) 367-8390 to schedule an appointment. New registration forms can be printed from the Forms page of this web site or you can come to 1500 Sangamon to pick up New Student Registration forms (no appointment necessary to pick up forms).

Documents needed for new registration include the following:
  • 3 Proofs of Residency
  • Original Birth Certificate:
  • State of Illinois Transfer (only required from Illinois PUBLIC school attendees)
  • Health Records
  • Complete Registration Forms

2014-15 Registration by Appointment

New Families
New families may schedule an appointment by calling the Registration Hotline at (708) 367-8390. Registration will take place at the District 201-U Administration Center located at 1500 Sangamon Street, Crete, Illinois.

Returning Families
Those families that received a letter dated March 2014 concerning residency, will be required to schedule an appointment with the district registrar by calling (708) 367-8390. During this time, parents/guardians must provide updated residency information in the form of a current lease or mortgage along with a current utility bill.

Also, returning families that received a letter stating that they were not in compliance for student medical records must also schedule an appointment with the district registrar and provide updated medical records along with required registration documentation.

National School Lunch Program/School Fee Waivers 
Parents who wish to apply for free or reduced meals must attend Annual Registration between July 28 and August 1. After Annual Registration, Meal applications may also be completed at the Sixth Grade Center (760 W. Exchange Street). Hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. The Food Service meal application process will take about 15 minutes. Please keep in mind that completing a school meal application is a completely separate process from applying for a school fee waiver.

Parents who wish to apply for school fee waivers must apply during Walk-In or Annual Registration from July 7, 2014 thru August 1, 2014. Fee Waivers will also be available after registration at the Income Verification Department located at the District Administration Center (1500 Sangamon Street). Hours for income verification are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Please be advised school fees will be assessed without proof of a fee waiver; therefore, it is necessary to complete the income verification process before your scheduled registration appointment. New Student Testing

If you have a student entering Grade 2 through Grade 11, and you are new to the district or your student was not enrolled in one of our district schools for the 2013-2014 school year, your student will be required to take a placement test. Tests will be administered Monday through Thursday at your choice of 8:15 AM, 10:15 AM, or 2:15 PM at the district office, 1500 S Sangamon St, during the summer by appointment only. Bus Route Information
If your child is registered by Monday, August 11, 2014, transportation will be provided beginning on the first day of school. After this date, parents/guardians will be responsible for transporting their children to and from school until transportation can be assigned. This will take no more than 5 business days from the date your child is registered.

ATTENTION NEW STUDENTS TO CRETE-MONEE HIGH SCHOOL 
New students who complete registration after Monday, August 25, 2014 will be required to attend our Transitional High School Program at Monee Education Center for no more than five days. This allows students to complete an orientation program that includes placement testing, a record and transcript review, guidance counseling, career counseling, four year academic planning, student handbook review, and course scheduling.
