Our Security Council consists of fifth grade students. Each year, our Security Council members are chosen by Ms. Newcomb and Mrs. DeBartolo. Students are selected because each one of them has consistently demonstrated leadership, responsibility, and effort.

Our Security Council members not only act as role models for our students, they also perform many important jobs throughout the school day. Security Council members escort kindergarteners to their buses, help students and families cross the street at the crosswalk, wash lunch tables, collect lunch count, and greet our CSK family members as they arrive for school every morning.

To celebrate the accomplishments of our Security Council, our CSK PTO sponsors an annual Security Council trip to Six Flags Great America. This trip takes place on a school day during the month of May.
