RAK tree
Our 3rd trimester Action Project focuses on RAK - Random Acts of Kindness. Students listened to their teachers read stories related to the big impact a small act of kindness can make. They watched videos about specific acts of kindness. Students and staff are watching the "RAK" tree grow in the café as more and more of us share the acts of kindness we've performed. To learn more about this action project as well as previous action projects, please visit our Learners in Action page.

Security Council
Our Security Council consists of fifth grade students. Each year, our Security Council members are chosen by Ms. Newcomb and Mr. Chapman. Students are selected because each one of them has consistently demonstrated leadership, responsibility, and effort.

Our Security Council members not only act as role models for our students, they also perform many important jobs throughout the school day. Security Council members escort kindergarteners to their buses, help students and families cross the street at the crosswalk, wash lunch tables, collect lunch count, and greet our CSK family members as they arrive for school every morning.

To celebrate the accomplishments of our Security Council, our CSK PTO sponsors an annual Security Council trip to Six Flags Great America. This trip takes place on a school day during the month of May.

If you have any questions about Security Council, please contact Mr. Chapman at 367-4744.
