School Activities
All of the schools in the Crete-Monee School District provide activities for students that create opportunities for personal growth, academic development, creativity, and fun! Many student activities take place within the classroom and also after school. These may be in the form of classroom projects, extra-curricular clubs and activities, athletics, or family events. District 201-U offers students a wide range of activities to participate in that are guaranteed to provide a positive and rewarding experience for all.

Many of our schools have after-school clubs and activities that promote team work, self-discipline, goal setting, and responsibility. Throughout the year, the schools also host many family friendly events such as Literacy Night, family reading nights, seasonal parties, athletic nights, and more! These events are great ways to stay involved in your child’s educational experience.

Please visit the district’s online calendar to view upcoming events, activities, club meetings, and more!

Monee Education Center teams up with Chicago Area Alternative Education League (CAAEL) CAAEL provides opportunities for students to excel in a sport that they may otherwise not have the chance to play. CAAEL provides a full spectrum of academic and athletic programs to over 100,000 of the area's most at-risk students.

Our football season has now kicked off!  Here is a recap of our last game...

On September 23rd, in the first game of the season, the Monee Education Center Warriors took on Camelot of Chicago.  MEC Warriors were looking at some familiar faces but also welcomed some new ones to start the season.  The MEC Warriors showed some inexperience but the season is still young.  Both teams tried hard and played well in a back and forth contest but left everything on the field.  The team had a lot of bright spots.  Players such as Kevin Pate, Zhaquez White, Tyler Moore, Keyvon Johnson, Jeremiah Buckley and Lorenzo Payne showed leadership on the field as well, keeping the Warriors in the game.

After the back and forth battle, the MEC Warriors fell short to Camelot of Chicago, 32-22.  Congratulations go to Tyler Moore and Kevin Pate for being named as the game's Sportsmanship Award winners.  Keep up the good work.  Next up for the Warriors is a matchup with SPEED Independence, Friday September 30th, 2016 at home on the football field across the street.  Hope to see everyone there!!!
