Mission Statement
Crete-Monee School District is committed to maintaining safe and orderly schools. The district will promote the ideas of mutual respect, civility, respect for diversity and orderly conduct among students, employees, parents, and other community members.

Department Goals & Overview
How do we make our schools safer? There are several thousand K—12 school districts and universities in the United States where many administrators, staff members, parents and community members are asking this very question.

Provoked by both the recent and past incidents of on-campus student violence, schools are increasingly forced to take on the dual roles of both educator and protector to ensure the safety and education of all students. This puts schools in a challenging and difficult position to create that balance in the environment in which students and staff live that is both secure and yet nurturing.

We know that our schools are safe; however, there is a level of technology that is available to schools that can provide more layers of security. This ensures that the tools and processes that schools use for prevention or response are robust and comprehensive.

We look forward to providing your children a safe and intellectually stimulating environment.
