Crete-Monee National Signing Day

National Signing Day is a rich annual tradition not only in Crete-Monee School District but at schools around the country. It is the first day that a high school senior can sign a binding National Letter of Intent for a collegiate sport with a school that is a member of the United States National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Crete-Monee High School was proud to host our six student-athletes as they signed their National Letters of Intent. The students were joined by their coaches, district administration, members of our school board and their supportive family and friends. “As an educator, there is nothing better than seeing the student-athletes you work with for years have the opportunity to further their education while playing football in a post-secondary institution. I can honestly say I am the luckiest person alive in regards to my positions here at the high school,” said Mr. John Konecki Director of Football Operations at CMHS.

“It's great to see our student-athletes be recognized for both their athletic prowess and academic success. Congrats to them and the entire CMHS Football Program for helping these young men build character and follow their dreams,” added Interim Superintendent Mr. Ronald C. Patton.

Student-athletes that participated in this year's signing day were Jaleel Holloway (Saint Xavier University, Nursing); Dallas Brown (Rockford University, Accounting); AJ Martino (Wabash College, Pre-Med); Joshua Thomas (Georgetown University, Finance); and Tyler Mays (Robert Morris College, Pre-Physical Therapy). Congratulations to all of the student-athletes that participated!
